60-year-old Visalia man arrested after woman found dead in Madera County

MADERA, Calif. (KGPE/KSEE) – A 60-year-old Visalia man was arrested following a death in Madera County last month, deputies say.

According to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, March 29, 60-year-old Lenny Sciacca of Visalia was arrested following the homicide of 40-year-old Nicole Kunz.

Officers say Kunz was found dead in the bedroom of a remote home off Raymond Road in Madera County back in February. Officials say Sciacca’s Visalia residence was searched on two separate occasions, resulting in his arrest on Friday.

Sheriff Tyson Pogue commended investigators saying he is immensely grateful for their dedication and meticulous investigation.

“Their tireless efforts to uncover the true circumstances surrounding Ms. Kunz’s death are commendable. We offer our condolences to her family and friends as they mourn their loss,” said Sheriff Pogue.

Based on evidence recovered from the searches, Sciacca was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail on suspicion of homicide.
