$50,000 Powerball winner sold at Myrtle Beach Publix

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — As the Powerball jackpot continues its climb toward $1 billion, a ticket bought in Myrtle Beach for Wednesday’s drawing turned out to be a $50,000 winner.

The ticket sold at the Publix store at 7925 N. Kings Highway was one of three tickets sold in South Carolina that missed the jackpot by a single number, lottery officials said. A $100,000 ticket was sold at a Publix store in Beaufort and a $50,000 winner was sold at a Power Trac store in Anderson.

All three winning tickets matched four out of five white ball numbers and the red Powerball number in Wednesday night’s drawing; the winning numbers were 37, 46, 57, 60 and 66 and the Powerball was 8.

With no winning jackpot ticket sold Wednesday night, the top prize on Saturday will be an estimated $935 million.

Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes. For complete information on claiming prizes, visit sceducationlottery.com.
