5 UGA ‘Sheroes’ who rescued family from submerged SUV in Burke Co. receive national recognition

BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – The 5 University of Georgia students who saved the lives of a mother and children in Burke County have reunited with the family. They’re also receiving national recognition for their good deed.

We are overjoyed to share the news of the heartwarming reunion between the incredible University of Georgia students, and the mother and children they bravely saved from a harrowing car accident.

Their story of courage and quick action touched the hearts of many, and today, we celebrate their reunion—a true testament to the power of human kindness and selflessness.
