If you forgot to add some of your Facebook friends to your holiday card mailing list, or maybe you couldn’t finish them in time, you’re in luck. Facebook has a variety of cards that you can personalize with a family photo and share with your Facebook friends.
Holiday Camera Effects
You can personalize any photos you take through the Camera feature on the app with fun holiday filters and stickers, like 2018 “glasses” for selfies and snowflake and wintry-themed stickers. If you have the Messenger app, the Camera on there will also have similar fun effects, like holiday masks and filters. You can also use some of these effects during video chats on the Messenger app—transform yourself into a reindeer or add a falling snow effect while chatting.

Facebook is already good at reminding us of past memories (through the “On This Day” tab) and also friendiversaries, and this holiday season they’re helping us stay up to date with how our friends are celebrating the holidays. If you find it difficult to scroll through Facebook while you’re running holiday errands and getting ready for gatherings, on December 28th, you’ll see personalized collages of friends’ holiday photos on your newsfeed.

Facebook is adding special New Year’s Eve effects to live broadcasts so you can count down to 2018 with some flair. Effects include a party hat and 2018 “glasses.”
