49th annual CSUB Spring BBQ happening Thursday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The 49th annual CSUB Spring Barbecue is a few hours away as the Athletics Department prepares to host its largest community fundraiser of the year.

CSUB’s Director of Athletics, Kyle Conder, joined 17 News at Sunrise to speak about the fundraising event.

Village Flea returns to the Kern County Museum

According to Conder, this is one of the university’s key events that feels like a family reunion. In fact, it was one of the first events he learned about when he first arrived in Bakersfield a year and a half ago.

Proceeds from the 49th annual Spring Barbecue will help support 16 programs within CSUB’s Athletics department.

You can choose from a New York Steak, teriyaki chicken or a vegetarian dish with sides, for a $40 donation. A $10 kids’ meal features a hot dog dinner.
