4 wolf pups at NC Zoo healthy after 6-week checkup

ASHEBORO, N.C. (WNCN) — Four critically endangered red wolf pups have each passed their their six-week-old checkup, according to the North Carolina Zoo.

“All pups are healthy and doing well,” the Zoo said in a post to Facebook, adding that all of them have mastered side-eye looks and “resting puppy face” already.

It was just a week prior to these pups’ six-week checkup that the Zoo posted a video showing another litter of newborn endangered red wolf pups, also born at the zoo.

“We are thrilled to announce that we have had not only one but TWO litters of critically endangered red wolf pups born at the North Carolina Zoo!” another post read. The pups in this other litter were undergoing their 24-hour checkup.

This checkup, of course, also resulted in more adorable photos.
