4 hurt after argument leads to St. Pete shootout, police say

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla . (WFLA) — A shooting in St. Petersburg left four people in a hospital with gunshot wounds early Monday morning, police said.

A spokesperson for the St. Petersburg Police Department told 8 On Your Side that officers were called to a business at the intersection of 49th Street South and 5th Avenue South due to a loud party at the location.

As officers arrived at the scene, they heard several gunshots in the area and found a person who suffered a gunshot wound.

A release stated that a group of men got into an argument that escalated into a shootout.

According to police, three other victims showed up at Orlando Bayfront Health with gunshot wounds. All those who were injured were said to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The victims were said to be three men in their 20s and a 17-year-old girl.
