Up to 3 inches of rain expected for North Jersey as part of week of dreary weather
April showers start early this year as North Jersey looks to see a rainy week.
After 8 a.m. on Tuesday, the chance of precipitation is 100% throughout the daytime in the Bergen County area, according to National Weather Service.
Rainfall should amount to about between a half and three quarters of an inch. However, through Thursday night the region could get up to 3 inches of rain, per the National Weather Service.
Some predicted rain inch counts through Thursday night include:
West Milford: 3.03 inches
Newark: 2.94 inches
Paramus: 2.74 inches
Morristown: 2-3 inches
Wantage: 2-3 inches

Localized urban flooding is possible as will as rises in the Passaic River basin, per the National Weather Service.
A high of about 48 degrees is expected at during the day Tuesday. Temperatures will barely drop with a low of about 42 degrees in the area.
