$21,000 stolen from Hispanic supermarket in armed robbery: CMPD

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A north Charlotte Hispanic supermarket had more than $21,000 stolen from an armed robbery Thursday afternoon, reports show.

According to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police report, the incident happened around 5:45 p.m. April 25 at the Tienda Hispana Envios de Dinero on Old Statesville Road. The woman victim told police she was robbed at gunpoint and $21,158 was stolen from the business.

Second suspect arrested in slaying of teen Jack in the Box employee

There were no injuries reported from the incident.

No suspects are known at this time.
