2 wanted in Laurinburg killing in custody, police say

LAURINBURG, N.C. (WBTW) — Two men wanted in the killing of a 37-year-old Fayetteville, North Carolina, woman are in custody, according to Laurinburg police.

Antonio Tyrone Ingram, 26, and Tyrell Devon Leggett, 22, are facing murder charges in the shooting death of Denver Jamesia Quick, who died Sunday at an undisclosed medical center after being shot on Thursday evening. Quick formerly lived in Laurinburg.

Officers responded at about 10:15 p.m. to the area of Samao and Wagram Street to investigate a report of shots being fired. That’s where they found Quick, who was unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a silver Chevrolet Malibu that had crashed.

Police arrested and charged Nicholas Leonardo Nicholson on Thursday and charged him with first-degree murder in Quick’s killing. He is also charged with discharging a weapon into occupied property, felony conspiracy and discharging a firearm in the city.

Leggett is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, larceny of a firearm and altering and/or removing a gun’s serial number.
