2-vehicle crash blocks Highway 17 Bypass traffic at Coventry Boulevard

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Emergency personnel have cleared the scene after a crash late Wednesday morning that blocked traffic on Highway 17 Bypass near Coventry Boulevard.

The crash initially closed all of the northbound lanes of Highway 17 Bypass, but as of about 12:40 p.m., the road was fully reopened. A Myrtle Beach Fire Department spokesman said two vehicles collided in the intersection, but no additional information was immediately available.

A South Carolina Department of Transportation traffic camera showed a large backup of traffic in the area.
