2 suspects wanted, 6 arrested after Baton Rouge drug investigation

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office says six suspects were arrested and two are at large after a two-month investigation.

The investigation which led to the seizure of drugs, guns and cash centered around “numerous individuals who identify themselves as the ‘Motion Boys,’” according to EBRSO.

The two wanted suspects were identified as Mitchell “Scooby” Johnson, 25, and Chedrick Townsend, 34. EBRSO said Johnson was identified as the leader of the group and is on active probation for a previous conviction.

Johnson is wanted on charges of criminal street gangs and patterns of criminal street gang activity, three counts of possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I (marijuana), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (morphine), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (oxycodone), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (hydrocodone), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (Adderall), five counts of firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, felon in possession of firearm and drug paraphernalia.

Townsend is wanted on charges of criminal street gangs and patterns of criminal street gang activity, possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I (marijuana), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (tapentadol), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule IV (alprazolam), four counts of firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a machine gun, and drug paraphernalia.

EBRSO obtained five search warrants and executed them on Tuesday, April 23. Agents seized 13 guns, a pistol conversion kit, a money counter, six digital scales, plastic bag boxes and $27,709.

They also seized the following drugs.

  • 47.6 pounds of marijuana.

  • 114 dosage units of oxycodone prescription pills.

  • 55 dosage units of tapentadol.

  • 33 dosage units of alprazolam.

  • 16 dosage units of hydrocodone prescription pills.

  • 16 dosage units of morphine prescription pills.

  • 10 dosage units of Adderall prescription pills.

The following six suspects were arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Stanley “Head” Wilson, 22, was charged with criminal street gangs and patterns of criminal street gang activity, possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I (marijuana), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (morphine), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (hydrocodone), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (Adderall), five counts of firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a machine gun, drug paraphernalia and violation of a protective restraining order.

Tyquan Holliday, 22 was charged with criminal street gangs and patterns of criminal street gang activity, possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I (marijuana), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (morphine), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (Hydrocodone), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (Adderall), four counts of firearm with a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia.

Tredarius Keller, 18, was charged with criminal street gangs and patterns of criminal street gang activity, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I (marijuana), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (morphine), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (hydrocodone), two counts of possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (Adderall), five counts of firearm with a controlled dangerous substance and two counts of drug paraphernalia.

Jacory Williams, 22, was charged with criminal street gangs and patterns of criminal street gang activity, possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I (marijuana), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (tapentadol), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule IV (alprazolam), four counts of firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, possession of stolen firearm, possession of a machine gun, resisting an officer and drug paraphernalia.

Samuel Love, 22, was charged with criminal street gangs and patterns of criminal street gang activity, possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I (marijuana), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (tapentadol), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule IV (alprazolam), four counts of firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, possession of stolen firearm, possession of a machine gun, resisting an officer, and drug paraphernalia.

Jermaine Henderson, 24, was charged with criminal street gangs and patterns of criminal street gang activity, possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I (marijuana), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II (tapentadol), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule IV (alprazolam), five counts of firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, possession of stolen firearm, possession of a machine gun, resisting an officer and drug paraphernalia.
