2 people shot in separate shootings in Oakland, OPD investigates

(KRON) – The Oakland Police Department is investigating two shootings that occurred in less than 24 hours, according to the department.

On Sunday night, a shooting occurred in the 1800 block of 105th Avenue around 11 p.m. Responding officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound(s). Medical personnel transported the victim to a hospital.

Around 12:30 a.m. on Monday, a person was shot in Oakland. Officers responded to the area to investigate a shotspotter activation in the 1900 block of 73rd Avenue when they found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound(s).

Both victims are listed in stable condition.

It is unknown if the shootings are connected.
