2-year-old pronounced dead after being found in Lake Woollomes: coroner

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 2-year-old has died after he was found floating in Lake Woollomes in Delano, the Kern County Coroner’s Office said.

The coroner’s office identified the child as Teo Zaragoza, of Alpaugh.

According to a coroner’s release Zaragoza was found floating in the lake at around 6:48 p.m. on May 21. The child was taken a hospital in Delano where he was pronounced dead. Postmortem examinations will determine the exact cause of death.

The sheriff’s office has not released details of the incident and is investigating the incident.
