2 accused of faking winning scratch-off lottery ticket: Escambia County Sheriff’s Office

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Two people were arrested after they allegedly created a fake winning scratch-off lottery ticket and submitted it, News 5 has learned.

According to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested 42-year-old Kira Lee Enders and 32-year-old Dakota Von Jones of DeFuniak Springs after they pieced together lottery tickets to make a winning ticket.

Deputies say Enders and Jones cut lottery tickets in half and put them together to make a $1 million winning scratch-off ticket.

After making the fake ticket, they submitted it, with Enders’ name on it, to the Florida Lottery Office in Pensacola, according to the ECSO.

ECSO said that the original tickets were bought in DeFuniak Springs, and the case was sent to them after the Florida Lottery became suspicious, News 5 has learned.
