19-year-old arrested after armed robbery in Cutler, deputies say

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man has been arrested following an alleged armed robbery in Cutler earlier this week, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said on Friday.

Investigators say around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday night deputies were called to a robbery at the Cutler Liquor Store. When they arrived, deputies learned, a man walked into the store armed with a gun and demanded money.

Officials say the suspect, who has been identified as Ojani Ortiz, stole a large amount of cash and demanded other merchandise from the store.

According to officials, Oritiz was tracked down at a home in Cutler and taken into custody. Ortiz was in possession of a gun and property that was stolen from the store.
