18-year-old pleads guilty to murder of two Albuquerque teenagers in 2023

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – One of three people accused of murdering two teen brothers last year took a plea deal on Thursday. A 15 and 14-year-old were murdered at a mobile home community near Atrisco Vista and I-40 back in January 2023.

Mario Lange, Marissa Lopez, and Querida Lovato are accused of setting up a drug deal with the intention murder one of the teens over an alleged stolen gun. Lange pled guilty to first-degree and second-degree murder as well as conspiracy charges. As part of his plea deal, he’s facing up to 36 years behind bars due to the fact that he was 17 years old at the time of the shooting.

Both Lovato and Lopez have pled not guilty to their murder charges.
