Everybody knows that studying and going to lectures are a necessary evil you have to endure to enjoy the best bits about university: living with your friends and spending your free time doing sweet f a. Here's 17 things you only understand if those housemates are your wives for life.
1. Your favourite part of a night out is actually the debrief in the morning, when you lie in bed together and wonder WTF happened.
2. You always talk about life after uni as if you're still living together, because once you graduate and your lease is over, you'll just move to another city and live together again, right?
3. You dread to think about how many of your deepest darkest secrets they know, and how many times they've seen you at your worst.
4. You're sad about going home from uni for the summer, because it means you won't get to see them everyday.
5. You know each other's weird habits better than anyone, like how they eat bread dipped in mayonnaise or lick the chocolate off of digestives.
6. You're not even sure whose clothes are whose - you've shared your wardrobe with each other for so long that they've definitely worn items of your clothing more times than you have and vice versa.
7. When you FaceTime your family or your home friends, they know to expect an update from your housemates about how their lives are going too.
8. You've spent so much time fantasising about winning the lottery, going travelling for a year or just never having to get a real job together. Can't you just stay at uni forever?
9. You can't even contemplate the thought of a long distance friendship, but you'll totally make it happen if and when you can't live together any more.

11. Your periods have synced, which means you get to do PMS, comfort eating and hating on the world together.

13. You've adopted phrases from their vocabulary and people say you act and speak alike, so even if you can't be together all the time, you'll still be with each other at heart.
14. Sacking off your future plans to join them with whatever they're doing has definitely crossed your mind. You've considered swapping your grad scheme in Manchester for their backpacking around Vietnam on multiple occasions.
15. Your best uni memories involve them - and 14 tequila shots, cheesy chips at 2am and a lot of drunk laughing in your living room.
16. They've been with you through your best and worst times, and have seen you through as many essay meltdowns and messy breakups as they have pub quizzes and cheesy nights out.
