I-17 reopens in Anthem after law enforcement incident
ANTHEM, Ariz. - Northbound Interstate 17 in Anthem has reopened following a police situation on Friday that shut down the freeway.
The southbound lanes were not affected by the closure.
"The situation has been resolved," the Arizona Department of Public Safety said. "A subject was sitting on the overpass, but everything ended peacefully, and we reopened northbound I-17 a short time ago."
UPDATE: All lanes are now open on I-17 northbound at Anthem Way.
