14-year-old girl missing for over 2 weeks last seen on Far South Side

CHICAGO — Authorities say a search is underway for a 14-year-old girl who has been missing for over two weeks.

Police say Shemeka Sneed has been missing since Saturday, April, 6.

The missing teen was last seen around 10:05 a.m. in the 300 block of West 105th Place in the city’s Roseland neighborhood, on the Far South Side.

Sneed, who stands 5-foot-5 and weighs around 125 pounds, has brown and blonde hair and brown eyes.

Authorities were not able to provide a description of what the teen was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

Officers notified the public about the teen’s disappearance in a news release on Tuesday afternoon and did not provide details on what may have led to her disappearance.
