"Our hearts are with the victims of the Santa Fe High School shooting."

The premiere party for Netflix's 13 Reasons Why has been cancelled in the wake of the Santa Fe school shooting, Vulture reports. The incident that took place at Santa Fe High School yesterday, May 18, resulted in ten deaths and ten injuries.

In a statement provided to Vulture, Netflix explained: "Our hearts are with the victims of the Santa Fe High School shooting, and with all victims of gun violence. In light of today’s tragedy, we are canceling the 13 Reasons Why S2 premiere event tonight."

13 Reasons Why's second season premiered on Netflix yesterday, May 18, and (spoiler alert) included a storyline that culminated with an attempted school shooting. According to Time, the premiere was supposed to take place in West Hollywood, California, and was scheduled to include appearances from series stars Katherine Langford and Dylan Minnette, as well as the show's producer, Selena Gomez.
