$100K Powerball ticket purchased in Elizabethton

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WJHL) – One lucky lottery player in Elizabethton has won $100,000.

The Tennessee Lottery announced Tuesday that the Powerball jackpot has climbed to $1.09 billion, but three Powerball winners did manage to match four out of five numbers plus the Powerball.

One of those tickets was purchased at the Sunshine Market at 1033 Bristol Highway in Elizabethton. The Elizabethton winner also added the Power Play option for an extra dollar, doubling the base $50,000 prize, according to the lottery.

The other two winners to match four out of five numbers plus the Powerball were in Cleveland and Nashville, the Tennessee Lottery announced. The Cleveland winner also won $100,000, while the Nashville winner won the base $50,000.

The next Powerball drawing will be Wednesday.
