I-10 eastbound now open for normal traffic

UPDATE: LAFAYETTE PARISH, La. (KLFY)– I-10 eastbound has been reopened for normal traffic.

ORIGINAL: LAFAYETTE PARISH, La. (KLFY)– The Lafayette Police Department is currently on the scene of a major traffic incident at I-10 and University.

I-10 eastbound has been shut down because inoperable vehicles are blocking the road, according to LPD. Authorities said minor injuries have been reported.

More information regarding the reopening of the road will be shared when made available.
