1 person wounded in shooting near orchards in Wasco

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting Tuesday night near orchards in Wasco.

Sheriff’s officials said one person was found shot and wounded in the area of McCombs Road and Wildwood Drive at around 8:30 p.m.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment, but the extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Kern County Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110.
