1 person rescued trying to escape from bedroom fire in Paso Robles

One person was rescued from a house fire in Paso Robles on Sunday afternoon.

Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services were on the scene at the house in Cherokee Court at approximately 12:35 p.m., according to a city news release.

A fire was found coming from the back bedroom of the house, where crews discovered an occupant still attempting to escape the house. Firefighters helped get the person out of the building.

With aid from Cal Fire and the Atascadero Fire Department, the fire was contained to the single room and extinguished.

Additional assistance was provided by the Paso Robles Police Department and San Luis Ambulance, according to the release.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
