1 hospitalized after mysterious rollover wreck on Twohig

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A rollover wreck involving two vehicles that occurred just before noon on April 26 has sent one driver to the hospital — but no one involved seems to know how the crash happened.

The collision occurred between a silver GMC truck and a black Nissan SUV at the intersection of South Koenigheim Street and West Twohig Avenue. The crash resulted in the Nissan SUV rolling over onto the side of the road near the City Hall Annex building.

Two lanes of northbound Koenighheim Street were blocked off while workers cleared the debris from the road and San Angelo Police Department officers investigated the crash.

According to an SAPD officer at the scene, neither of the people involved in the crash are sure how the collision occurred. Witnesses were also only able to hear, not see, the crash, forcing the SAPD to look for video cameras that may have recorded the incident.

The driver of the Nissan SUV has been transported to Shannon Medical Center with unknown injuries. The SAPD will continue to investigate the crash.
