1 dead, 1 hurt in 2-vehicle crash involving motorcycle on Highway 544 near Conway

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — One person was killed and another was injured after a motorcycle and a Subaru crashed Wednesday morning on Highway 544 near Conway, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened at about 8:25 a.m. along Highway 544 near Tiffany Lane about 2 miles south of Conway, SCHP said.

The motorcycle was traveling westbound on Highway 544 and a 2016 Subaru Forrester was traveling southbound from Tiffany Lane when the two collided, according to SCHP. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a hospital, while the passenger was taken to a local hospital where they later died.

The two people in the Subaru Forrester were not injured.

No other information was immediately available. SCHP continues to investigate.
