The Chicago-based combine has produced a few storylines to follow before the 2024 NBA Draft (June 26-27) decides where the newest batch of prospects will start their professional adventures. The fates of many soon-to-be draftees depend largely on the trade market brewing up for All-Stars like Brandon Ingram. The New Orleans Pelicans may not have the number one overall pick, yet. There are arguments for some organizations to avoid a weak 2024 NBA Draft class altogether.

The Atlanta Hawks officially own the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Now, they can fully embrace a youth movement and potentially build around whoever they feel is the top prospect in this class. Should they decide to split up their backcourt, one team often rumored as an ideal destination for Young is the Spurs.
Is Brandon Ingram Reunion With Los Angeles Lakers Among Possibilities?
In the midst of a stressful coaching decision for the Los Angeles Lakers, a reunion with star Brandon Ingram may be in the works. Ingram was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans for All-Star big man Anthony Davis following the 2019 season, but is now considered the top trade piece for general manager Trajan Langdon. Despite a down year, an anonymous Eastern Conference general manager believes Ingram joining the Lakers is within reason.
