The Rebels Interrupt This Broadcast in New 'Mockingjay' Teaser

The Capitol is beginning to show some cracks. Two weeks ago, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) delivered a chilling address to the citizens of Panem — a clever promotional gimmick for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1. In this new teaser, Snow ups the ante, surrounding himself with armed guards and two captive rebels, Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) and Johanna Mason (Jena Malone). The villainous President’s message is that the nation is strong, “bound together in solidarity” — but an unscheduled interruption halfway through the video proves otherwise.

The final two Hunger Games films will chronicle the climactic showdown between the impoverished Districts (represented by Jennifer Lawrence’s character Katniss Everdeen) and the totalitarian government. A whole new supporting cast has been assembled for the rebellion, including Julianne Moore (President Alma Coin), Tony winner Patina Miller (Commander Paylor), House of CardsMahershala Ali (Boggs), and Game of Thrones’  Natalie Dormer (Cressida), and Gwendoline Christie (Commander Lyme).

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 opens on November 21.
