Apparently, up to this point, only Kathie Lee Gifford and Matt Lauer had been privy to this news, and the reaction from the rest of the group was genuine surprise and emotion.

‘Today’ Show Anchors Say Goodbye to Billy Bush
As expected, the end has come for Billy Bush on "Today." NBC announced Bush’s suspension after a video from 2005 surfaced in which he and Donald Trump speak inappropriately about women. It was widely speculated that the suspension would eventually lead to Bush being fired, and on Monday night, that speculation was proven to be correct when NBC announced Bush’s departure.

‘Today’ Welcomes a New Member to the Team — an Adorable Puppy!
The as of yet unnamed puppy joined the show with help from America’s VetDogs, a nonprofit organization that trains service dogs specifically for veterans. The black lab puppy will be on set of Today spreading joy and cuteness, but it will also be learning the skills that will help it to be a successful service dog. The puppy made all the stops on Today. After it’s original introduction, it stopped by the set to meet Tamron Hall, Billy Bush, and Al Roker.
