Meet the New Bond Girls in the Latest 'SPECTRE' Vlog

SPECTRE Bond Girls Details Vlog

The sweet cars, high-octane action scenes, and mysterious baddie are all big selling points for the next 007 film, SPECTRE. But this new in-depth look behind-the-scenes gives fans more background on the alluring ladies in James Bond’s life, played by Léa Seydoux and Monica Bellucci, and that may be the best selling point of all.

The 30-year-old French actress Seydoux, kicks off the latest promotional SPECTRE vlog by describing her mysterious character, Dr. Madeleine Swann, as “a very sensitive and human character.”

“She needed to be soulful, feisty and complicated, and I think it’s a pivotal relationship,” director Sam Mendes said about Swann. “So it probably couldn’t have been a total newcomer, it needed to be someone with a certain amount of life experience and maturity. And [Léa] is the whole package, really.”

Meanwhile, Monica Bellucci, the 50-year-old Italian actress, plays “an Italian widow with secrets,” whose mafioso husband was killed, a threat that she now faces as well. “She’s an incredibly seductive presence, in life and in the movie,” Mendes said of Bellucci.

“James Bond is a part of cinema history, and I respect so much the James Bond girls because I think they’re incredible actresses,” Bellucci added.

SPECTRE, which once again stars Daniel Craig as James Bond, hits theaters on November 6.
