Cinderella and Belle Throw Down in a Disney Princess Rap Battle

For two princesses with fairy tale lives, Cinderella and Belle sure seem to have a lot of issues with insecurity.

Ahead of Disney’s new live-action Cinderella (and with the Emma Watson-starring Beauty and the Beast on the horizon), actress and YouTube star Whitney Avalon (The Big Bang Theory) has released the latest in her hit Princess Rap Battle series — and it’s pretty vicious.

Avalon plays Belle, while Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar spits rhymes as Cinderella, turning in a very different version from the sweet and virtuous maiden played by Lily James in Disney’s Friday release. Instead, she’s boasting about her classy glass kicks, perfect marriage to Prince Charming, and status as the princess who saved the Disney studio.

Belle, played by Avalon, throws some serious shade of her own, boasting about being the book-loving “wordy, nerdy princess” who doesn’t need to be saved by some dude. The knockout line: “Your tale as old as time sets us back 50 years: Do your chores, clean the floors, ‘til a man just appears?”

The real winner? You, for watching a parody rap video!
