Bryce Harper hit a grand slam, Kody Clemens added a home run, triple and four RBIs and the host Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 10-1 on Tuesday. Bryson Stott contributed two hits, Edmundo Sosa hit an RBI triple and Nick Castellanos added an RBI double for the Phillies, who have won seven straight and 11 in a row at home.
Zack Wheeler dominated the Giants and Bryce Harper went deep for the second straight night as the Phillies completed their fourth sweep in six series.
Trea Turner's hamstring strain, Rob Thomson knew, would create a cascade of decisions for the manager. The first tough one came Monday with Thomson uprooting Gold Glove finalist second baseman Bryson Stott to play shortstop. A second will arrive Tuesday when J.T. Realmuto, promoted to Turner's No. 2 spot in the batting order, will get his first day off since the injury. If Castellanos was carrying anything above the .185 average he toted into Monday's series finale with the Giants, he'd be the logical option at No. 2.
