It's been a remarkable journey from the Central Coast to Major League Baseball for Orcutt native Matt Sauer. The 25-year-old 2017 Righetti graduate fulfilled a lifelong dream earlier this year when he earned a roster position with the Kansas City Royals. "It's a dream come true," said Sauer, during a recent interview in Anaheim. Sauer's journey to the Major League Baseball may have seemed like a foregone conclusion when he was selected in the 2nd Round of the MLB Draft on June 12, 2017.
