    Marlins place Cabrera on IL, reinstate Garrett

    The Miami Marlins placed right-hander Edward Cabrera on the 15-day injured list Wednesday and reinstated left-hander Braxton Garrett. Cabrera was removed from Tuesday's start against the Los Angeles Dodgers after two innings and is dealing with a right shoulder impingement. It's the same injury that put him on the IL for the first few weeks of the season. Cabrera, 26, made his delayed season debut April 15 and is 1-2 with a 7.17 ERA through five starts.
