Handicapped Parking Cheat Faces Perfect Creative Revenge

We think this handicapped-parking scofflaw got the memo.

Every once in a while, the Internet coughs up a gem of vigilante citizen justice, and we particularly enjoyed this video of a non-disabled man in Maringa, Brazil, who thoughtlessly parked in a handicapped-accessible parking spot.

The clip was posted in June but has just gone viral, as the Daily Mail, the Today Show, and other media outlets are starting to highlight the clever prank.

The clip shows the anonymous driver returning to find his car covered in thousands of Post-it note “reminders” cleverly arranged to form the oversize international wheelchair symbol. It’s as creative a revenge as we’ve seen in a long time. And bonus points for not causing any permanent damage to the vehicle.

Prankster group Boom saw the illegally parked car and created the very public “sticky situation” for the man (here’s a video of them tagging the car). By the time he returned, hundreds of locals clapped and jeered as he realized he’d need to clear off the Post-its just to be able to drive safely. His reaction, as you can see in video and in the photo below, was unfortunately more anger than mea culpa.

It isn’t clear from the video, but it seems that a cop (rightfully) gave the offender a ticket. Might we suggest that when he pays it, he takes a lesson from this British man’s cute response to his traffic violation?

The lesson at the end of the day? Don’t park in a disabled spot unless you deserve to be there. (Duh!) ’Cause in this day and age, it’s not just the law that may come down on you.
