So Cute! Simple and Inexpensive Washi Tape Candle DIY
Isn’t it amazing how much fun you can have with tape these days?! The sticky-backed stuff used to be pretty exclusively clear, masking or duct, and certainly didn’t come in hot pink leopard print - those days, however, are long gone. There’s Washi tape in a million colors, Duck fabric tape in lots of different textures and duct tape went from brown, black and silver to positively rainbow-like.
To celebrate this fabulously ‘tacky’ trend, we’re making tape wrapped candles at the workshop. They’re super easy, super affordable and super quick to make - so make a whole lot of them!
Materials:
Tea lights
Washi or fabric tape
Tools:
Scissors
Instructions:
1. Measure the tape to fit exactly around the tealight’s aluminum base.
2. If the tape has backing, remove it and wrap it around the tea light.
Make a bunch of them!
Hint: We like our tea lights dropped into glass vessels to really show them off.
