Stunning Entries from the Sony World Photography Awards
A pictures is worth a thousands words, and when these images come from thousands of photographers, there are an endless number of stories to be told.
The Sony World Photography Awards brings together competitors from all around the globe and all walks of life. The five competition categories make it possible for photographers from a variety of backgrounds to enter and submit their work. The competitions are as follows: Professional, Open, Youth, Mobile Phone, and National Awards. The National Awards selects the single best shot taken from each of the 47 countries that participate.
The competition is completely free of any entry fees, which is meant to encourage people of all skill levels to enter. This year’s competition drew upwards of 173,000 entries from an impressive 171 countries.
The winners will be announced on April 23rd. In the meantime, browse through the amazing collection of photographs on the World Photography Organization website.
