Materials:
Paper
String
Tools:
Hot glue gun
Scissors
Making the plane:
1. Fold your paper down the middle, unfold and fold it again in the other direction - that way the two creases create a cross.
2. Fold one side of the paper towards the middle, and then unfold it. Now you have four small rectangles on one half.
3. Cut along the crease. (You can use smaller or larger rectangles to create either longer or wider planes)
4. Fold the paper lengthwise and then unfold it (this crease is mostly a guideline for the next steps).
5. Fold the two top corners, so they meet in the middle and touch the crease.
6. Again, fold the two new corners in to the middle so they align with the crease. Turn the paper around and fold it.
7. To create the wings of the airplane, fold down the paper, so the upper and the lower sides align. Turn the paper around and repeat. Fold out the wings.
Creating the mobile:
1. Cut a length of string. Just make sure that there is enough string for all your airplanes.
2. Cut a small hole at the bottom of the airplane. Pull the string through the hole from the top of the plane and tie a knot underneath it.
4. Use your glue gun and add a bit of glue to the knot. Pull on the string so that the airplane is glued to he knot. Tie another knot above the first plane, add another and continue the process down the string with the remainder of your planes.
Make several strings and hang them in varying lengths for a great, mobile effect
