Turn Your Kid Into An Angel

Give your little angel wings for next to nothing! This homemade costume can be whipped up in no time, which means your children can play dress-up any time they fancy.

Materials:

  • 1 Stack white paper plates

  • Silver spray paint

  • Ribbon

Tools:

  • Scissors

  • Stapler

  • Hot glue gun

Instructions:

  1. Spray the edge of your paper plate stack with silver paint and allow it to dry, then discard the top and bottom plate.

  2. Cut your plates into crescent moon shapes of varying widths.  The more plates you cut, the fuller the wings.

  3. Lay your crescents out in the shape of your wings.  We like to have the top part of the wings swooping inward and the bottom part swooping outward.  It’s helpful to lay both wings out at the same time to create a mirror image.

  4. Glue your cut-outs together and allow the wings to dry.

  5. Staple the two wings together at the top, and punch two little holes, one in the center top of each wing, using your scissors.

  6. Tie off two pieces of ribbon with a knot and thread them through the hole of one wing. Repeat on the other wing.
