Give Your Christmas Lights an Unexpected Peppermint Twist
What child, big or small, doesn’t dream of living like Willie Wonka, in a land where everything feels, tastes and looks like candy? Create that fantasy for your family at home this Christmas, by adding a touch of peppermint to your home.
We tied little ribbons all along an ordinary string of Christmas lights, and were left with all the implied fun of a peppermint candy rope, with none of the sticky reality.
Materials:
String of Christmas lights, all white or all red
Ribbons, white and red
Tools:
Scissors

Instructions:
1. Cut several 6-inch pieces of ribbon.
2. Tie the ribbons along the string of lights, keeping them close together.
3. Repeat until the entire string is covered.
5. Hang the lights along a staircase railing, in swoops. Attach it to the stairs with longer pieces of the same ribbon.
