Forget ‘Build-a-Bear.’ This Easter, Build a Bunny!

image

As seen on Good Morning America!

This Easter, we think you should build your own bunny! As the weather slowly starts to warm up and the need for wearing gloves starts to wane, turn your gloves from hand warmers into Easter bunnies in no time at all!

We had a pair of brown gloves lying around, but don’t feel limited to solids! Have a pair of colorful striped gloves? Create a stripey bunny that’s sure to delight!

Materials:

  • Glove

  • Cotton or polyester stuffing

  • Copper wire

  • Googely eyes

  • Tiny pom pom

  • #2 pencil eraser head

  • 4 larger pom poms

  • Ribbon

  • Rubber band

  • 4” styrofoam egg

  • Straight pin

Tools:

  • Hot glue gun

  • Scissors

Instructions:

1. Turn the glove inside out, except for the two center fingers, then turn glove back to the right side.

2. Hot glue all the fingers closed (except for the two center fingers) and let dry.

3. Cut off the glued fingers from inside.

4. With the glove right side out, stuff the finger ‘ears’ with the stuffing.

5. Insert the styrofoam egg into the glove so that it is a snug fit and secure it with a rubber band at the bottom.

6. Roll up the cuff of the glove and glue large pom-poms on as feet.

7. Hot glue on the eyes, 2 pom poms for cheeks, a tiny pom pom for the mouth and the eraser head as the nose.

8. Make a bow with ribbon and pin it to the collar of the bunny, then add wire snips as whiskers by piercing them into the pom poms.
