Crystallized Eggs Will Add Sparkle to Your Holiday Decor for Just a Few Bucks
Are you looking for a fun, different and last minute way to decorate your Easter eggs? Why not skip the traditional egg dying and opt for crystallizing your eggs instead! Epsom salt does the trick - taking your eggs from plain to sparkling with just a bit of glue and some fun, bright colors.
This household staple, commonly used for relaxing muscles in the tub, will give your Easter eggs a dazzling finish and make decorating eggs a little less routine.
Materials:
Plastic eggs
Epsom salt
Modge Podge
Food coloring
Tools:
Small bowls
Fork
Instructions:
1. Fill each bowl half way with epsom salt.
2. Add a drop or two of food coloring to each bowl as desired.
…and mix the coloring in thoroughly.
3. Pour the Modge Podge into a small bowl and dip the egg in the glue.
4. Dip the egg into the colored crystals and let it dry completely.

A big bag of Epsom Salt will cost you about $10 (and last a long time), so when you add that to a handful of dollar store plastic eggs and a few drops of food coloring, you’re looking at a great craft for under $5.
