Make Glow-in-the-Dark Easter Eggs for After Hours Fun

An Easter egg hunt after dark? Why not! These glow-in-the-dark Easter eggs are great for those of us who don’t make it out for the hunt until the light starts to fade.

In fact, these eggs are perfect for those who may have to celebrate Easter with more then one family in a day. Kids who spend the morning with one side of the family and the evening celebrating with the other, get to indulge in the joys of egg hunting with all their loved ones, no matter the hour. And who doesn’t want to go on two egg hunts? We certainly think it’s pretty ideal!

Here’s how to get the glow…

Materials:

  • Eggs

  • Glow in the dark paint

  • Neon paint

  • White vinegar

Tools:

  • Small bowls

  • Spoon

4. Dip the eggs into the dye mixtures and roll them around in exchanging colors. You can also use a spoon to spoon the dye over the eggs.

Hint: The more you dip into the different dyes, the more variations you will have.

An after-hours Easter egg hunt is also a great idea for adults! Have friends over, spend the day enjoying food and drinks, then head outside once the light gets low and feel like a kid again.
