Zooey Deschanel Shares Sweet Birthday Tribute to Boyfriend Jonathan Scott

Zooey Deschanel celebrated boyfriend Jonathan Scott's birthday with a heartfelt message on social media.

She took to Instagram on April 28 to show her love for the Property Brothers, gushing, "Today I celebrate this wonderful man. I am eternally grateful the universe sent you in my direction. You are my person, my partner, my favorite. I love you Jonathan!"

She accompanied her birthday message with affectionate pictures of herself with her partner.

Scott was touched by the sweet post, commenting, "You're my birthday wish (and every other wish) come true 🥰 now let’s 🎉 ." He and his twin brother Drew turned 45.

Deschanel's New Girl co-star Hannah Simone also loved the adorable post, commenting, "YOU TWO ❤️❤️."

Fans of the couple chimed in with birthday wishes in the comments.

"Happy Birthday Jonathan! What beautiful pictures of you two. It makes me so happy that you found each other!!!" remarked a fan, while another wrote, "I've always thought you two were made for each other, way before you you even met. This is just perfect! ♥️ Happy birthday, Jonathan!"

Deschanel, 43, and Scott met through James Corden on the set of Carpool Karaoke. In the episode, Scott and his twin joined Deschanel and her sister Emily in the car. Scott called shotgun, sitting beside his now-partner, who was behind the wheel.

There was obvious chemistry between them. Scott commemorated the day they met in an Instagram post from August 2019, in which he wrote, "Met some new humans today. We had fun. I think I'll keep them #carpoolkaraoke."

Three years later, they returned to Carpool Karaoke, where Scott joked that "a lot has definitely happened" since the last time they were on the show.
