Wanna feel old? Elf came out 17 years ago. That's right— it's been 17 years since Buddy the Elf, played by Will Ferrell, ventured off to New York City to find his father... and in the process fell in love with Zooey Deschanel’s character Jovie.

On Sunday, Deschanel shared a clip to her Instagram of her and Ferrell virtually reenacting one of the film's most iconic bits: the shower scene. As you may recall, Ferrell wandered into the Gimbel's employee locker room in this scene after hearing Jovie sweetly singing "Baby, It's Cold Outside" in the shower. As he innocently snuck into the room to admire her voice, he couldn't help but sing along — which ultimately blew his cover. Jovie poked her head out from behind the shower curtain and screamed when she saw Buddy. She told him to get out and not to look at her. Following her directions, Buddy quickly tried to escape with his hands covering his eyes, but not without hilariously running into a wall of lockers.

The clip Deschanel shared was actually a snippet from a live stream table read of Elf that she, Ferrell, and a handful of other celebrities had joined forces for. Dubbed #ElfforGeorgia, the live stream's ticket sales benefitted Georgia's Democratic party, particularly candidates Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock, ahead of the January 5 Senate runoff elections.

Other celebrities that appeared alongside Ferrell and Deschanel included: John Lithgow, Ken Jeong, Danny Woodburn, Jenna Ushkowitz, Busy Philipps, Ed Helms, Bradley Whitford, Wanda Sykes, and Gaten Matarazzo, who read for the actors who were not able to attend.

In her post, Deschanel revealed that the event was a big success! "Thank you to everyone who joined the #ElfforGeorgia live stream! So excited we were able to reach our goal of over $400k! Loved reuniting with the cast and all our very special guests," she wrote.
