NEW Zoo to celebrate moms this Mother’s Day
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – With Mother’s Day coming up this Sunday, officials with the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park say they plan to spend the day celebrating moms.
According to a release, in honor of their special day, each mom who comes to the facility on Sunday, May 12 will receive free admission to the NEW Zoo, including access to the Neil Anderson Canopy Tour.
In addition to free admission, all moms will also be able to pick out a free plant, courtesy of Wery’s Sweer Summer Bloomers, as well as receive a bag of sweets while supplies last.
Zoo officials add that it’s okay to show up to the zoo hungry on Mother’s Day as The Dog House will be at the zoo offering up some of their famous fresh cheese curds, burgers, and brats, and Nothing Bundt Cakes will also be in attendance selling a variety of desserts.
Everyone is welcome to accompany Mom’s visit to the NEW Zoo and Adventure Park as both the Giraffe Feeding Experience and the Children’s Zoo Feeding Experience will be available throughout the day. The Endangered Species Carousel will also be running throughout the day barring any bad weather.

Zoo admission tickets will be free to both moms and kids under the age of three with all other family members required to pay the regular price. Officials say that when ordering tickets online, visitors will have to choose a 30-minute arrival window.
While it is important to come during the arrival window listed on the purchased ticket, all guests are welcome to stay at the zoo as long as they like up until closing time.
The NEW Zoo is scheduled to be open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Mother’s Day with the Canopy Tour being open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Adventure Park Ropes Course, Climbing Wall, and Zip Lines will remain closed but will open for the season soon.
