It's official: The Zone of Interest is hitting HBO’s Max next month.

While The Batman Part 2 is delayed until 2026, Johnathan Glazer’s Oscar-winning World War II film was only pushed back a month. In a tweet, HBO announced the film is exclusive to Max, setting a release date of April 5, 2024.

Subscribers to Max can watch The Zone of Interest for free as part of their subscription package. If you didn’t want to wait, however, the disturbing Holocaust retrospective is currently available to watch on Prime Video and Apple TV+ for an additional cost.

The Zone of Interest was recognised at the recent Oscars awards, winning awards for International Feature Film and Best Sound. It was nominated for Best Picture but ultimately lost to Oppenheimer.

A24’s film follows brutal Auschwitz commandant Rudolf Höss (Christian Friedel) and his wife Hedwig (Sandra Huller) as they attempt to live a peaceful existence with their family next to the camp while unspeakable atrocities occur within it.
