‘Zoey 101’ Is Getting a Spin-Off Movie, ‘Zoey 102,’ and You’re Going to Want to Know All About It

Ooohhh, I know you see her standing there because Zoey is officially back at PCA! That's right, Zoey 101 is making its way back into our lives, this time as a special movie called Zoey 102. If you're a big Zoey 101 fan, then you already know the big question is what happened to Zoey and Chase? While it looks like fans will finally get some answers, we're going to have to wait for more beyond casting news.

Here's everything we know about Zoey 102 so far.

Wait, is this really happening?

Time to take your Jet X out of your garage and ride over to Pacific Coast Academy, because this is actually real. Paramount+ announced the big news on January 12, confirming that production had already begun. So basically, filming has starting and things are getting very real.

Is everyone coming back?

Most of the cast is set to return, including Jamie Lynn Spears (“Zoey Brooks”), Erin Sanders (“Quinn Pensky”), Sean Flynn (“Chase Matthews”), Matthew Underwood (“Logan Reese”), Christopher Massey (“Michael Barret”), Abby Wilde (“Stacey Dillsen”), and Jack Salvatore (“Mark Del Figgalo”).

Notably missing from the list is Victoria Justice (who played Lola) and Alexa Nikolas (who played Nicole and has since spoken up about her troubling experience with show creator Dan Schneider).

There's still a chance more cast members join in as special guest stars, but we likely won't hear until closer to the film's release.

What will Zoey 102 be about?

A lot of it is being kept under wraps, but we did learn some details from Paramount+.

"The movie follows Pacific Coast Academy alumni as they reunite for a wedding in the present day. Production is underway in North Carolina, with a premiere slated for later this year exclusively on Paramount+.," the streamer said in a press release.

There's no word if it'll be connected to the special reunion that showed Chase and Michael 10 years after the time capsule episode. (At the end, Chase ran off to try to find Zoey again after figuring out that she admitted her feelings for him 10 years earlier.)

But the biggest question is: Who is getting married? Chase and Zoey?! We'll have to wait and see.

When does Zoey 102 come out?

Paramount+ confirmed the movie will be released later this year (2023), so it's likely that it'll land somewhere in the fall or winter to give the studio plenty of time to wrap filming and work on post-production.
