Zoe Saldana’s Video of Avengers ’ Gamora Applying Lipstick Has Become a Hilarious Meme
Like so many of her fellow actors in the Marvel inner circle, Zoe Saldana spent the days surrounding the release of Avengers: Endgame posting behind-the-scenes looks and throwback clips and photos of their time in the franchise. But when she shared a video of herself in her green Gamora makeup, applying an even darker green lipstick as if this was just another everyday makeup look, she probably didn't suspect it would become one of the biggest new memes on Twitter.
In the caption posted to Instagram on Monday, Saldana wrote, "#nofilter 😂#Gamora #becauseshesworthit," fully aware of how funny the clip is on its own. But as the video of Gamora's self-confident glam session garnered millions of views, an even funnier meme spinoff emerged — and most of the examples understandably personify various green things "getting ready" to do something.
